Avocado Hummus

Whoever came up with the idea of combining avocados and chickpeas in a dip is a genius. It’s like adding the creaminess of hummus to your favorite guacamole. Or is it like adding the creaminess of guacamole to your hummus? Either way, the result is a delicious and super creamy treat that’s the perfect dip to pair with vegetables, pita chips, pretzel chips, or whatever you desire 🙂

Avocado Hummus

1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 avocado
1 clove garlic
Juice from 1/2 of a lime
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of olive oil (for a lower fat option:  juice from the beans)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2. Blend ingredients into a food processor until smooth.
