Burgers and Margaritas

As most of you know, I moved in December and living 2,000+ miles away from my friends and family has been difficult at times. Add trying to juggle 3 jobs and I’ve been a bit stressed. So you can imagine how excited I was to have my mom come visit! We explored the city and did some touristy things and most importantly, ate good food.

Apparently interior Mexican food is a thing? Whatever the case, this was the best Mexican food I have ever had. The dish pictured above was Pescado Veracruzano- rroiled fish fillet in a traditional Vera Cruz tomato sauce with capers, onions and Spanish olives. Seriously delicious.

The margaritas weren’t bad either 🙂

My favorite meal from the long weekend was a burger. Not just any burger. A burger from Hopdoddy Burger Bar.

Guys. Not only are their burgers fresh, all-natural, made from local happy cows etc but they have gluten free buns. And these gluten free buns don’t fall apart. Add a root beer, truffle fries and you get the perfect meal.

All in all it was a lovely visit, love you mom! Come back soon so we can try more restaurants? 🙂
